Maipo Valley Wine Tour: 4 Wineries, Pisco Tasting and Optional Lunch

4.9 (2,725 verified reviews)

About This Experience

Stamp's Tour collects you from your hotel or Airbnb in set areas of Santiago from 7:30 am and drives about 40 minutes south into the Maipo Valley. The day runs to around 10 hours, with drop-off back at your accommodation at roughly 6:00 to 6:30 pm. Every option includes tastings at four wineries and full guided visits at two of them.

The first stop is Viña La Quirinca, a family farm where you walk the gardens and production areas, meet the alpacas, llamas and chickens, then sit down in the tasting room for wine and Chilean pisco. Local products are on sale there. The route continues to Viña Santa Ema, an Italian-Chilean winery founded in 1956 that makes still and sparkling wines, and around 12:30 pm to Viña TerraMater, home of the Zinfandel restaurant and an olive oil you can buy at the winery shop.

The final stop depends on the option you book. The Premium Route includes the full Undurraga tour, which the listing pitches at wine history fans: four premium wines, gardens, vineyards, the barrel cellar and a pre-Columbian exhibit. The Traditional route and Traditional + Lunch Included options finish instead at Viña Ballek, which the operator describes as the most relaxed way to end the day, with tastings among the vines beside the Maipo River.

Lunch is the main thing to check before you book. On the Traditional + Lunch Included option the meal at the winery restaurant is in the price. On the Traditional route and the Premium Route you pay for lunch at the restaurant or bring your own and eat it in the van. The Private Tour runs the same experience with private transport, and lunch is not included on it either.

The shared departures need at least four passengers. If too few people book, the operator can cancel after confirmation and offer an alternative or a full refund. The listing also notes that the order of the vineyard visits may be adjusted on the day.
