How a Half-Day Concha y Toro Trip Works
Five hours in all, about three of them at the winery in Pirque.
Choose a meeting point
When you book, pick Plaza de Armas (Monjitas 879), Av. Vitacura 2653 in Las Condes or the Turistik shelter at Parque Arauco. There is no hotel pickup, so plan your own way there and arrive 15 minutes before departure. Your ticket arrives by email and WhatsApp.
Bus to Pirque
The group travels together on Turistik's bus to the Concha y Toro Wine Center in Pirque. This is a shared tour, and the listing allows up to 28 people on the bus. Of the 5 hours in total, about 3 are spent at the winery itself.
Park, cellars and garden
The guided visit covers the century-old park, the outside of Casa Don Melchor, the Casillero del Diablo Sensory Experience and its underground cellar, the Guarda del Alto cellar, the lookout over the Pirque valley and the Garden of Varieties, where the listing says 24 grape varieties grow.
Tasting and return
The visit ends in a private room with six Marqués de Casa Concha wines and four premium wines, served with a cheese board. You keep a Concha y Toro glass, and the bus takes the group back to the three meeting points. Lunch is not included.

HALF-DAY GUIDE
Half-Day Maipo Valley Wine Tours: How to Choose
Meeting point, hotel pickup or your own way there, and when a full day of several wineries suits you better.
For a half day from Santiago, book the Marqués de Casa Concha tasting at Concha y Toro if you can get yourself to a meeting point in the city. It is the most-reviewed half-day wine tour on this site, with 4.9 from 1,223 Viator reviews, and it starts from $135 per person (October 2026). In 5 hours you get a guided visit of the estate in Pirque and a ten-wine tasting with a cheese board. The catch is transport: the Turistik bus leaves from three set points in Santiago, and there is no hotel pickup.
If you want collecting from your hotel, book the Concha y Toro tour with transfer, from $82 per person with 4.3 from 557 GetYourGuide reviews, or the Undurraga tour with hotel transfer, from $60 per person with 4.8 from 92 GetYourGuide reviews. If you are happy to take a taxi, the Cousiño Macul Heritage Wine Tour starts from $25 per person at a winery inside the city.
Half day or full day?
A half-day tour visits one winery and takes 5 hours or less. A full day visits several wineries and runs 9 to 10 hours. The full-day choice most travellers make is the four-winery day with pisco tasting, from $119 per person with 4.9 from 2,725 Viator reviews over 10 hours, explained on our 4 winery tours page.
Chile.travel puts the first Maipo vineyards about 50 km from Santiago, roughly an hour by road. On a half day that drive takes a large share of your time. The Concha y Toro transfer tour allows about an hour in the van each way and about two hours at the winery, and the Turistik trip spends about 3 of its 5 hours at the estate.
Book a half day if you arrive or fly out that day, if you have only a short stay, or if one famous name is all you want. Book a full day if you want to taste across several producers, from small family wineries to large estates, and have lunch in the valley.
Meeting point, hotel pickup or your own way there
How you reach the winery is the biggest difference between the half-day tours, more than the price.
The three Turistik half days on this page leave from set meeting points: Monjitas 879 by Plaza de Armas, Av. Vitacura 2653 in Las Condes near Costanera Center and Tobalaba metro, or the Turistik shelter at Parque Arauco. You choose one when you book, arrive 15 minutes early and travel on a shared bus with up to 28 people. That covers the Marqués tasting, the Premium Wine Center tour and the Bahá’í Temple and Cousiño Macul trip. If your hotel is near one of these points, this is easy. If not, add a taxi or metro ride at each end.
The two GetYourGuide tours with transfer pick you up at your hotel and bring you back there. The Undurraga tour collects from hotels in central Santiago, Las Condes and Providencia. Its driver does not speak English; the English-speaking guide is at the winery and leads the tour there. One reviewer notes the pickup time is sent the night before, so keep your phone to hand.
The Cousiño Macul Heritage Wine Tour includes no transport at all. It starts and ends at the winery, at Avenida Quilín 7100 in Peñalolén, and you get there by taxi, ride-hailing app or public transport. Because the estate is inside Santiago, that ride is short, and the visit itself lasts 1 to 1.5 hours. If you want a car included, the private Cousiño Macul tour picks you up at your hotel for about 4 hours in all, from $90 per person, and is covered on our private wine tours page.
Which Concha y Toro half day?
Concha y Toro was founded in Pirque in 1883, and all three of its half days take you into the historic cellar tied to the Casillero del Diablo legend. The difference is the tasting. The Marqués tour pours six Marqués de Casa Concha wines and four premium wines with a cheese board. The Premium Wine Center tour pours four premium wines, from $105 per person with 4.8 from 934 Viator reviews, and ends at Plaza Concha y Toro, which has places to eat. The transfer tour includes three tastings, and its premium option adds four Marqués de Casa Concha wines with cheese.
Age rules differ too. The Marqués tour and the transfer tour take no one under 18. On the Premium Wine Center tour, children can ride the bus but only the transfer is included for them. Our Concha y Toro page compares every option at that winery.
Undurraga and Cousiño Macul
Undurraga was founded in 1885 on the Fundo Santa Ana estate in Talagante. The Undurraga hotel-transfer tour includes about 1.5 hours with the winery’s own guide, a tasting and a gift glass, and runs in the morning or the afternoon all year, about 4 to 4.5 hours door to door. Meals are not included. More options are on our Undurraga winery tours page.
Cousiño Macul dates to 1856, when Matías Cousiño bought the Hacienda Macul, and the winery runs tours Tuesday to Sunday. On the Heritage Wine Tour, the Traditional option pours three wines during a walk through the cellars, and Premium adds three more in a private tasting room with a charcuterie board. A Bike option runs in Spanish only. It holds 4.9 from 167 GetYourGuide reviews. The Bahá’í Temple trip pairs about an hour at the Bahá’í House of Worship, dedicated in 2016 in the Andes foothills, with about two hours at Cousiño Macul. It runs 3 hours from $96 per person, with 4.8 from 248 Viator reviews, guided in English and Spanish.
Practical points
None of these half days includes lunch, so eat before or after. Tastings are for travellers aged 18 and over, so bring ID. Chile.travel recommends sun protection and a windbreaker for the evening, and advises booking winery visits ahead in high season. Each tour here offers free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start.

"The winery tour was fantastic, great wine and beautiful setting, great guides. The tour operator on the other hand wasn’t good. This tour charges a high premium for transport, which ultimately, isn’t well organized. We started with pickup at 7.4"
"This was an excellent half day tour near Santiago. The tour is really sharing facts to the Concha y Toro where, then, their staff takes over. However, I didn’t have to worry about logistics as I showed up and learned more about the history of the vineyards. Of course, I thoroughly enjoyed the wine. Highly recommend!"
"We had a great time on our morning tour April 6th. The transfer was comfortable, the guides were excellent, and the winery is beautiful! And delicious wine. Great tour and half day in the wine lands"
"Very nice tour to a wonderful winery. The gardens are beautiful and the tasting was as good as expected."
"Our bus driver, Mario was excellent in handling rush hour traffic. Sona provided background information on wines during the trip to the winery. The tour guide at the winery was very knowledgeable without going overboard. It was a great way to spend an afternoon tasting wines and learning which cheese to pair with what wines."
"Gonzalo our tour guide within Concha y Toro was very fun, entertaining and with a lot of knowledge. I learned a lot with him and Rosanna our sommelier. Congratulations to the story about the name Casillero del Diablo"
"Tour was OK but one needs to select the Premium Tour if you want a good experience. We did not realize that we had to meet at a different location. This cost more money which means that you need to add this to your total cost. The Premium Tour would have been better BUT we were rushed to return to the bus. Not good!!!!!"
"The wine was okay at best. The entire experience seemed to be made to take instagram photos. However, I didnt get the feel experience because we the entire thing took place in another language. I specifically booked this tour because t"
"Driver wasted 45 minutes doing nothing at first stop, then wasted another 45 minutes doing nothing at second stop. Then they raced to winery arriving 1 hour or more late. We lost at least half of the tour, and the 7 wines we tasted were rushed. A lousy way to visit the largest and best known winery in Chile."
"The place is iconic in the Chilean wine industry, the winery is so big and extremely beautiful, if you book this trip I highly recommend the "premium tasting: because the regular tasting is sincerely just 3 little sips, but if you do the premium and after you tour the facility, they take you to a private room with cheese pairings and real pours of wine. We loved it, but yeah, the ones that didn't do the premium tasti"
"The cheese and wine pairing at the end was amazing. And really the people you meet on these group excursions"
