The Experience
Hotel transfers by van, a guided winery visit, six Alyan wines with snacks at sunset and an informal dinner.
Pickup in the mid-afternoon, about four hours at the winery, back at your hotel around 22:30.
Pickup is between about 15:00 and 15:30 and drop-off around 22:30, so book this on a day with nothing else planned after lunch. The itinerary lists Providencia as the pickup area, so check where your hotel sits before you book, and choose English, Spanish or Portuguese.
The operator, Chile Tours, drives you 50 to 60 minutes south of Santiago to Alyan Family Wines in Pirque. The listing asks you to bring warm clothing, a jacket and a charged phone, since most of the visit runs into the evening.
About four hours are spent at the winery: a guided tour, time to look around the estate, then a tasting timed for the sunset with snacks served alongside. The listing counts six different Alyan wines over the evening. A clear sunset depends on the weather on the day.
The visit ends with an informal dinner at the winery, which the operator says is shared with members of the Alyan family. Souvenirs and any bottles you buy are not included. You are driven back and dropped at your hotel at around 22:30.

ALYAN SUNSET GUIDE
Three listings for the same evening at one Pirque winery, and what separates them.
For an evening wine outing from Santiago in English, book the Alyan Family Wines Sunset Tour with Dinner and Hotel Transfers. It starts from $143 per person (October 2026) and holds 4.7 from 80 GetYourGuide reviews. Pickup is mid-afternoon, you taste six Alyan wines with snacks around sunset, stay for an informal dinner at the winery and are back at your hotel at about 22:30. It is the only Alyan listing on this site with English among its guide languages. The other two are guided in Spanish and Portuguese.
A note on sources. Alyan Family Wines has no official website we could reach or verify, so everything on this page about the winery and the evening comes from the tour listings themselves and their guest reviews. Where a listing describes something, we say so.
The listings describe Alyan as a boutique winery, and the English-language one calls it family-run and places it in Pirque, a 50 to 60 minute drive south of Santiago. Pirque is one of the areas that Chile’s 1994 wine-zoning decree places within the Maipo Valley, and Chile.travel lists it among the Maipo’s wine-growing areas, the same district as Concha y Toro’s visitor centre.
The operator of the English-language tour pitches it as a counterpoint to the big historic houses most visitors book. Its pitch is that smaller family wineries are where new ideas in Chilean wine come from. The Spanish-language listing mentions a varietal garden, the vineyard, the cellar, fermentation tanks and a barrel room on its tour, and calls the wines poured its Family Ambassador line.
The Alyan sunset tour with dinner is run by Chile Tours. The van collects you from your hotel between about 15:00 and 15:30, and the itinerary names Providencia as the pickup area, so check your hotel’s location when you book. About four hours are spent at the winery: a guided tour, time around the estate, and a tasting timed for the sunset with snacks alongside. The listing counts six different Alyan wines over the evening.
Dinner is included. It is an informal meal at the winery, and the operator says it is shared with members of the Alyan family. The listing does not describe the menu. Souvenirs and wine you buy are extra.
Several reviewers name the same driver-guide and describe generous pours, comfortable transport and an unhurried pace. One reviewer whose day had no visible sunset still rated the evening highly, which matters, because the sunset depends on the weather. The listing asks you to bring warm clothing, a jacket and a charged phone, and Chile.travel also recommends an evening windbreaker for wine-valley trips.
The tour is not suitable for anyone under 18 or for people with mobility impairments. You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund.
Two more listings sell an Alyan sunset evening, and both are guided in Spanish and Portuguese only.
The Alyan Winery Sunset Tour with Wine Tastings and Dinner on GetYourGuide starts from $130 per person, with 4.8 from 81 GetYourGuide reviews, and lasts about 6 hours. Pickup covers Providencia, Las Condes, central Santiago and Ñuñoa. The description promises a slow-paced tour of the facilities, three to four tastings each in a different spot, a box of cheeses, hams and nuts, and an informal dinner. Its inclusions list adds that tastings and dinner apply if the option you book includes them, so check what your option covers before paying.
The Alyan Sunset Tour with Six Wines, Snacks and Dinner on Viator starts from $140 per person, with 4.4 from 54 Viator reviews, and runs 6 to 7 hours. It includes pickup in an air-conditioned vehicle, entrance, six wines with an individual snack plate, and a Chilean dinner with a homemade dessert. Read the small print: the listing says English tours run only on certain days at Alyan, that in peak season the evening can be shared with large groups from other agencies, and that refunds need 48 hours’ notice, while its booking terms on Viator are marked as a final sale, so check the cancellation terms before paying. In bad weather it may offer another date or a full refund.
An Alyan evening gives you one winery in depth, at the end of the day, with dinner included. It suits a traveller who has a free afternoon, has already seen a big estate, or wants a relaxed final night in Santiago. Two drives of about an hour each frame a long sit-down evening.
A daytime tour suits you better if you want to compare wineries. The Maipo Valley Wine Tour: 4 Wineries, Pisco Tasting and Optional Lunch visits four wineries in about 10 hours, from $119 per person, with 4.9 from 2,725 Viator reviews, though lunch is included only on one option. See our 4 winery tours page. For a private day, the Private Maipo Valley Tour: Aquitania, Santa Rita and Chilean Lunch starts from $290 per person, with 5.0 from 14 Viator reviews, and includes lunch; our private wine tours page covers more. Within Santiago itself, Cousiño Macul also runs its own Sunset tour on spring and summer afternoons; see our Cousiño Macul page.
Dinner comes with wine, so no one in your party should plan to drive afterwards. Chile’s Zero Tolerance Law treats 0.3 g/L of blood alcohol as under the influence, and all three Alyan listings include transfers.
For the full range of day trips, start with Maipo Valley wine tours from Santiago, or work out which kind of day suits you in our guide to choosing a Maipo Valley wine tour. There is more detail in our breakdown of the Alyan sunset tour, and when you are ready, check availability.

"It’s was a Awesome day ! Everything were perfect and beautiful, all the staffs were kind and welcoming and we could drink as much wine as we could! So perfect! The sunset was beautiful"

"We had such a fantastic experience on Raul’s adventure to Alyan Family wines. So much more than a wine tasting. Wines were wonderful, the door-to-door service is great. Raul is a very personable, fun character and knowledgeable too. Speaks many languages, including Australian. Clearly loves what he is doing. Highly recommend this experience."

"Really nice experience, our driver Raul take good care of us during the drives and the Alyan Family had an amazing tour."
"this tour is not a wine tour. it is a wine adventure and lessons. worth every penny. our guide Raul, is so knowledgeable about the region and wine making. the dinner was spectacular. the sunset unbelievable. highly recommend this tour for anyone who likes wine, even a little. the amount of different types of wine you get to try and the amount of wine is amazing."
"Absolutely amazing from start to finish The transport the vineyard the meal and most of all Raul. Raul you are a legend. Raul spoke the best English and understood me everywhere time I spoke ( I have a strong Scottish accent). Great day great location great driver / guide. Most of all great memories. Raul many thanks 😊"
"This was a truly special and beautiful day, led expertly by our guide, Raul! The setting in the vineyard is picturesque and nestled within the Andes mountain providing a welcome reprieve/day trip from Santiago city. Felt wonderfully special and almost like a special event - think wedding or birthday - more than a winery tour. Thoughtful touches, comprehensive guide and more than enough wine left us both satisfied (and falling asleep) on the drive home. Can't recommend this tour enough. It's a lovely way to see some the Maipo Valley, countryside and experience the wine in a well organised trip out. Couldn't be happier we chose this one over any other wine tours and we even got to meet the owner. Special mention has to be given to our host too, Raul, he made the whole trip very special and was on-hand through out. Book this trip!"
"We loved it so much! Raul is very sweet and friendly. He stayed with us the entire tour, providing support and talking. The tour is also amazing. Even though there was no sunset on our day, we thought it was beautiful and it was really worth it."

"A very experienced and great guide who explained a lot about the city of Santiago, the land, the wineries, and the history of grapes in Chile. Very comfortable transportation there and back. I highly recommend it."

Price, timing, dinner, languages and how the three Alyan listings differ.
In October 2026 the English-language Alyan sunset tour with dinner and hotel transfers started from $143 per person. The two Spanish and Portuguese listings started from $130 per person on GetYourGuide and $140 per person on Viator. Prices are per person and change by date, so check the live figure on the booking page before you pay.
On the English-language tour, pickup is between about 15:00 and 15:30 and you are dropped back at your hotel around 22:30. The itinerary lists Providencia as the pickup area, so check your hotel's location when you book. About four hours of the evening are spent at the winery, with a drive of 50 to 60 minutes each way.
Yes, on the English-language tour an informal dinner at the winery is included, and the operator says it is shared with members of the Alyan family. Snacks are served with the wine at sunset. The Viator listing includes a Chilean dinner with homemade dessert, and the Spanish GetYourGuide listing says dinner applies if your option includes it.
The English-language listing counts six different Alyan wines over the evening, and the Viator listing also includes six wines with an individual snack plate. The Spanish-language GetYourGuide listing describes three to four tastings of its Family Ambassador line, each in a different spot. Reviewers of the English tour mention generous pours.
Yes, the Alyan Family Wines Sunset Tour with Dinner and Hotel Transfers lists English, Spanish and Portuguese. The other two Alyan listings are guided in Spanish and Portuguese only, and the Viator listing notes that English tours run only on certain days at Alyan. Reviewers of the English tour praise the driver-guide's English.
The English-language listing places Alyan Family Wines in Pirque, a 50 to 60 minute drive south of Santiago. Pirque is within the Maipo Valley under Chile's 1994 wine-zoning decree, and Concha y Toro's visitor centre is in the same district. We could not reach an official Alyan website, so these details come from the tour listings.
The tour still runs, and the guided visit, tasting and dinner do not depend on the weather, but a clear sunset does. One reviewer whose day had no visible sunset still rated the evening highly. The Viator listing may offer another date or a full refund in bad weather. Bring warm clothing and a jacket for the evening.
No. The English-language tour and the Spanish GetYourGuide listing both say they are not suitable for anyone under 18, which is also Chile's legal drinking age. The English-language tour is not suitable for people with mobility impairments either, as the visit includes walking around the winery grounds. Contact the operator about specific access needs.
No listing sells it as private. The Viator listing warns that in peak season the evening can be shared with large groups from other agencies. For a private Maipo day with lunch included, see the private Aquitania and Santa Rita tour, from $290 per person, or our private wine tours page.
Choose Alyan for one winery in depth with dinner included, on a free afternoon or a last night in Santiago. Choose a daytime tour to compare several wineries: the four-winery day runs about 10 hours from $119 per person, with 4.9 from 2,725 Viator reviews. See our 4 winery tours page.
